Before & after

Two recent kitchens. One method behind both.

Different homes, different starting points — the same planning discipline behind every result.

Cumming, GA · Full Kitchen Remodel · Construction: 1-2 weeks

A worn-out kitchen rebuilt with materials chosen to last decades, not seasons.

Before Worn kitchen with broken cabinet door taped shut, dated beige granite countertop, and glossy terracotta tile flooring.
After Finished kitchen with classic white raised-panel cabinets, calacatta-look quartz countertops, brushed brass fixtures, and marble-pattern tile flooring.

Before. Cabinet doors held together with tape. Drawers that wouldn't close. Glossy terracotta floors dating the entire room.

Method. Same footprint, rebuilt as a coherent system: classic white raised-panel cabinets, brushed brass hardware, calacatta-look quartz, marble-pattern tile floors. Every material specified on paper before order.

After. Looks like the room it should have always been. Classic detailing, current materials, built to age well.

Marietta, GA · Full Kitchen Remodel · Construction: 1-2 weeks

A studs-out rebuild ordered around a sage island with built-in wine storage.

Before Kitchen during construction, walls stripped to drywall and floor stripped to subfloor, with utilities exposed.
After Finished kitchen with sage green island featuring built-in wine storage, white shaker perimeter cabinets, brushed brass fixtures, and beadboard ceiling.

Before. Walls stripped to drywall, floor down to subfloor, utilities exposed. The kitchen had been undone before we arrived.

Method. Sage center island wrapped in calacatta-look quartz with built-in wine storage. Brushed brass plumbing throughout, white shaker perimeter cabinets, beadboard ceiling for visual lift. All finishes locked on paper before any installation began.

After. A kitchen that reads as one decision, not a stack of upgrades. Built to last as long as the house.

Two projects, each with its own story and the same method underneath.

Names and addresses are kept private — at our homeowners' request and on principle.

A real showcase

"We just had Nobre Remodeling do a complete overhaul of our outdated kitchen. We couldn't be happier with the results. It is absolutely beautiful and much more functional than before. Matthew's ideas and attention to detail were exceptional. He helped us work out the design of the kitchen, and he came up with solutions to problems that we had been wrestling with. We went from having a drab and boring kitchen to one that is a real showcase. All our friends and family have been blown away when they see it."

Why most kitchen remodels go sideways

Most kitchen remodels don't go wrong because of bad intentions. They go wrong because too many decisions are left for later.

  • The quote grows once demolition starts

  • The finished layout doesn't match what you pictured

  • Timelines slip and materials change mid-project

That's why Anchor & Grain plans the entire kitchen — on paper and in 3D — before the first cabinet is ordered.

How we work

The A&G Method™

Five steps that put every decision on paper — and on screen — before construction starts.

01

DISCOVER

We listen first.

Before any sketch or quote, we visit your home, walk the space, and understand how you actually use your kitchen: what works, what doesn't, and what the project needs to solve.

No commitment. No assumptions.

02

DESIGN

You see it before you build it.

Your kitchen is designed in 3D, including layout, cabinetry, countertops, and finishes, so you can understand the plan before major decisions are final. For approved projects, the 3D plan is included in the planning process.

No guesswork. No surprise add-ons.

03

PLAN

Every detail made clear in advance.

Scope, materials, timeline, and investment are organized in writing before work begins. If something needs to change, you understand why before any decision is made.

No vague timelines. No hidden costs.

04

BUILD

Executed with care and coordination.

A focused project team works from a clear plan, with steady communication, clean work habits, and visible progress throughout the project.

No mystery. No missed steps.

05

REFINE

Finished by the inch, not by the hour.

Hardware adjusted, seams checked, and a final walk-through completed with you, so the finished kitchen reflects the standard agreed from the beginning.

No "we'll fix it later." No loose ends.

Method is what turns a kitchen project into a kitchen finished well.

Before any work begins

See your kitchen before it's built.

Walk through every detail — layout, cabinets, countertops, lighting, finishes — on paper and in 3D, alongside a written proposal that spells out exactly what's included. You approve it all before construction starts.

Conceptual 3D planning preview — kitchen remodel visualization

Written proposal

A clear written proposal explaining exactly what's included, what isn't, and how decisions affect the investment. No surprises mid-project.

Approve on paper. Then we build.

Common questions

The questions every homeowner asks, answered clearly.

How long will my kitchen be unusable?

The construction phase takes 1-2 weeks for most kitchens, from demolition to finish. There's planning and material production before that, but those don't disrupt your home. Once we start construction, the work moves fast — because every detail was already decided on paper.

How much does a kitchen remodel cost with Anchor & Grain?

Most full kitchen remodels we deliver fall between $20,000 and $35,000, depending on scope, materials, and the condition of the existing space. During planning, you receive a written proposal that explains exactly what's included, what isn't, and what decisions affect the investment.

What kind of budget should I plan for a kitchen remodel?

Kitchen remodel budgets in North Metro Atlanta vary widely based on scope. Smaller scoped projects — cabinetry refresh, countertop replacement — typically start in the low tens of thousands. Full kitchen remodels with layout changes, custom cabinetry, and premium materials usually fall in the $20,000–$35,000 range. We'll give you a clear estimate after the initial consultation, before any commitment.

How long does a kitchen remodel take, start to finish?

Most kitchen remodels follow a similar pattern: 2-3 weeks of planning and material selection, then 1-2 weeks of construction once materials arrive. From the first conversation to a finished kitchen is usually 6-10 weeks, depending on scope and material lead times. Before work begins, you receive a written timeline for your specific project — and if anything is at risk of shifting, we tell you early.

What's typically included in a full kitchen remodel?

Most projects include cabinetry, countertops, backsplash, hardware, lighting, and the layout-related coordination that goes with them. Flooring, paint, plumbing, and electrical work may be included depending on scope and local requirements. Everything included and excluded is listed in writing before work begins.

Do you take smaller kitchen projects, or only full remodels?

Most of our work is complete kitchen remodeling, but smaller scoped projects can still make sense when they involve cabinetry, countertops, backsplash, or layout-related decisions. The best next step is to tell us what you're considering, and we'll let you know honestly if it's a fit.

What if I don't like the 3D design?

That's exactly what the design phase is for. We adjust the plan together, including layout, materials, and finishes, before the build begins, so the major decisions are clear before they become expensive to change.

Do you offer financing?

Anchor & Grain doesn't currently offer financing directly. Most of our clients fund their projects with personal savings, a HELOC, or a renovation loan from their own bank. If financing options become available through a partner, we'll make that clear before any commitment.

What happens if you find problems mid-project, like old wiring or hidden water damage?

Our planning phase is built to catch most issues before the build starts. When something genuinely unexpected appears, we stop, document it, present options in writing with cost and timeline impact, and wait for your decision before moving forward. Nothing outside the approved scope moves forward until you understand it and approve it.

Still have a question we didn't answer? Call us directly. That's part of the conversation.
